ALEX LYNCH

Creator, WRITER, Producer, Various Voices

Alex used to cower and quake at horror films as an adolescent - even comedy horror was sometimes a stretch - but somewhere down the line something in his synapses must have snapped because now he can’t get enough of the blood and gore.

In that time Alex created and wrote the comedy series ‘Expenses Only’ for BBC Radio 4 and was part of the writing team for the multi-award winning podcast sitcom ‘Wooden Overcoats’. Other credits inc. BBC Three ‘Quickies’, R4’s ‘The Now Show’, and commercials for Picturehouse Cinemas. Alex was a producer for the award-winning comedy podcast ‘Mind Canyon’ and currently produces and hosts his podcast ‘Out of Character’ for Acast.

“Alex Lynch is so scary, the Babadook checks under the bed for him every night”

Sam Thomas

Creator, WRITER, Various voices

Sam Thomas is the world-renowned inventor of marzipan. Originally conceived as biological warfare, its adoption as an ingredient in cake making is seen as a personal failure by this fragile visionary. Thomas has also written and performed for BBC radio, television, short films and indeed several podcasts over the course of far too many decades to count. His time in a broadcast team on 6 Music alongside little known circuit comics Howard Russell and Jon Richardsonson is topped only by the time he was asked to leave Winchester Prison for bringing in a firearm. Sam continues to voice increasingly sinister roles with his darkly dulcet tones, closing in on that inevitable evil wizard role.

“His voice is like sex on very very scary legs”

- Queen Elizabeth II, Former European Monarch

ALEXANDRA MORRIS

Director, Various Voices

Alexandra Morris has always had a love for thriller and comedy and so The Terror Tapes became the perfect project for her to ‘sink’ her teeth into and combine the two! She is a director of British and Lantix heritage. With experience in TV, she spends most of her time producing and directing audiobooks and video games. From Brighton and now based in London, she has been absolutely terrified every moment of working on Terror Tapes.

“Alexandra directs like a motherfucker.”

- Sam Mendes, ex-husband of Kate Winslet*

ODINN ORN HILMARSSON

Composer, Sound Designer, Producer, Various Voices

Odinn discovered horror the good old fashioned way: His older brother showed him them when he was far too young. But like with hot sauce, Odinn has since been on a journey to push through the limits of terror. At the same time as an avid film-viewer, Odinn loves to spend time watching the classics and understanding where our fascination with fear begins.

Odinn creates music and sounds for theatre, podcasts and short films, having made content for BBC Sounds, Audible, ITV and the National Youth Theatre.

“He puts the OK in Spook and the Ho in Horror”

- Anonymous Ex-Girlfriend

‘ORRIBLE ORIGINS

Ramon Fear’s Terror Tapes was co-created by two ghouls named Alex Lynch and Sam Thomas. It was a series of short scripts born out of their love of the horror genre inspired by decades of different devilishly terrifying titles - from the Giallos of Argento, the Frighteners of Fulci, the Creature Features of Carpenter and the Scream-filled Slashers of Craven.

During the writing process - which they did whilst listening to various scary soundtracks - they decided they wanted the music to play a BIG part in the podcast. Enter Odinn Orn Hilmarsson, whose technical wizardry and spine-tingling chords made him the perfect co-producer - it also helped that he was a MASSIVE horror geek (he has a Shudder subscription and everything).

Finally, it was time to bring on a director and that’s when they discovered the ticking time-bomb of talent in the monstrous Alexandra Morris - a stage director who wanted a change and it looked like Terror Tapes was just the ticket. This band of reprobates joined forces and united as one HOUSE OF FEAR.

A WORD FROM RAMON

Greetings Friends,

My monthly newsletter comes straight from the pen, desk and other bits of tat in my study. I really do need a clear-out but regretfully the scullery maid seduced me and ran off with my savings.

I digress, if you sign up to the newsletter, you will receive hot-off-the-press updates on the Terror Tapes crowdfunding campaign, invaluable life wisdom and knowledge, and dates of my upcoming live appearances*

Come, join us! We don’t bite.

Yours gravely,

RF

*I have been informed by my lawyers that a court hearing does not count as a ‘live appearance’.
